Build your own reading routine
Use Alloglot from a script or an AI assistant. Write a story at your level, turn it into an audiobook, take your own books with you as JSON or EPUB, or read your language-level summary.
Choose your starting point
- Quickstart: make a key and call the API with curl or JavaScript.
- Connect an AI assistant: use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code through MCP.
- Authentication and scopes: choose permissions and revoke access.
- Limits, errors and retries: control spending and recover safely.
- API reference: endpoints, inputs and responses from the OpenAPI document.
- Changelog: changes to the developer interface.
- For AI agents: plain-text docs and the OpenAPI JSON.
For your own reading
An integration acts for one reader. It can see the books you made, not the public library or somebody else's private books. Your account's plan rules and credit balance still apply. API calls do not grant admin access.
Stories are private by default. Free accounts can only make short, public stories near their saved or claimed level. Public requests and books pass the same safety checks as the app. Chaptered books and account settings stay in the app.
Before you connect
Early access is limited to enabled accounts. The API, MCP server, OAuth flow and key settings can return 404 while access is off. Publishing these docs does not enable your account.
Use one key or OAuth connection per integration. Choose the smallest set of scopes and a monthly credit cap. Ask your assistant to quote the price before it creates anything.
Bulk export for republication, reselling generated stories or audio, sharing a key between people and probing other readers' IDs are not allowed. Access can be revoked and accounts banned for abuse.
Support
For help, use Send feedback in the app or email Patrick. Include the endpoint, HTTP status and time. Never send your key or private book text.
